These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PlantDNA mobile app ("App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
PlantDNA lets you take or select photos of a plant to receive an identification, general care tips, and general information about whether the plant may be harmful to pets or children. Identification is provided by third-party plant identification services and may not always be accurate.
Plant identification is probabilistic and can be wrong, especially from a single or unclear photo. Always independently verify a plant's identity and safety information — particularly before assuming a plant is safe — using a qualified professional or trusted reference source.
The App provides a limited number of free identifications per day. Additional identifications can be unlocked by purchasing scan credit packs. Credits are non-expiring but are tied to the anonymous device identifier generated by the App; reinstalling the App or clearing app data may reset this identifier and any associated free-usage counters, and in some cases may affect access to previously purchased credits.
If you purchased on iOS: purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, visit Apple's "Request a refund" page or use the Report a Problem feature in your purchase history.
If you purchased on Android: purchases are processed by Google through Google Play and are subject to Google's refund policy. To request a refund, visit Google Play's refund help page or request a refund directly from the Google Play Store app within the eligible window.
You agree not to:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any harm resulting from reliance on plant identification or toxicity information provided by the App.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
